The Official Language of AQE2019 is English, Staff in most tourist hotels and airport and shop assistants in big shopping centers can speak English.

Passport and Visa

Passports, valid for at least six months from the entry into China, and entry visas are required to visit China. Visas may not be required for visitors from certain countries, and AQE participants are advised to consult the nearest Chinese diplomatic mission for details.

A single entry visa is valid for three months, and can be extended for an additional month at the Foreigners Section of the Shenzhen Public Security Bureau if necessary.

Once in China, the AQE2019 participants are advised to carry their passports on them at all times because the passports may be needed to check into hotels, book airline tickets, and change money.

To apply for visas, participants should first fill out and send in the registration form with the appropriate registration fee. The AQE2019 Secretariat will then send a formal invitation via email with which the the conference participants can apply for a visa at the Chinese diplomatic mission indicated in the invitation. This application should be made preferably at least one month before departure for China.

Alternatively, participants may ask their travel agents to arrange their travel to China and obtain a tourist visa irrespective of whether or not they have registered with the AQE2019 Secretariat.

If participants have any difficulties in obtain their visa, they should contact AQE2019 Secretariat.


The electric current used in China is 220V 50Hz. The hotel can provide 220V and 110V(shavers only) power outlets. Please note that plug adapters may be necessary.

Currency and Banking

RMB (Renminbi) is the only currency used in China. Money exchanged by cash or traveler’s checks can be made at the branches of the Bank of China at Shenzhen Baoan International Airport. Hotels and tourist stores.

Banks usually open at 9:00am.and close at 5:00p.m.everyday of the week(including Saturdays and Sundays). Curreny exchange services are available for the following foreign currencies: US Dollars, British Pound Sterling, Euro, Japanese Yen, Australian Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Hong Kong Dollar, Swiss Franc, Danish Krone, Norwegian Krone, Swedish Krone, Singapore Dollar, Malaysian Ringgit, and Macao Pataca. Smaller money exchange outlets may note accept all of these currencies.

Credit cards such as American Express, Diners Club, JCB, Master Card and Visa may be used for payment at hotels and tourist stores.

When visitor leaves China, they can change the remaining amount of RMB back into froeign cast at the airport prior to their departure from China. But if they wish to do so , they have to show foreign currency conversion receipts.

Shopping Hours

Stores open at 8:30 or 9:00 and closed at 20:30 or 21:00, every day of the week.


All the international flights and domestic flights will arrive in Shenzhen at Shenzhen Baoan International Airport.

Shenzhen Baoan International Airport is 33.8 kilometer from downtown. Airport shuttles and taxi cabs are available whenever there are flights.

Airport Construction Fee

Airport Construction fee is levied at all Chinese airports on all departing passengers. It is 50 yuan for International flight and domestic flight.


In all cased the organizer of AQE2019 shall only act as an agent and shall not be liable for any losses, accidents, personal injury, or damage or property of any kind and origin whatsoever. The liability of the persons and companies instructed to provide the services shall not be affected. Amendments shall not be valid unless mutually agreed in writing and signed by the two contracting parties. The place of jurisdiction for fully qualified merchants, persons who have relocated their place of residence to a foreign country after the conclusion of the agreement shall be Shenzhen.
